JP Concerts presents composer and pianist Linda Kernohan, in a recital of her recent compositions, including two songs sung by Peter Terry. Suggested donation $10 at the door.
Linda Kernohan has had her music performed across the U.S. and Europe, and has played the piano and organ in a wide variety of venues, from a West Hollywood nightclub to the Basilica of St. Peter in the Vatican. Linda holds bachelor's and master's degrees in music, and is currently a Ph.D. candidate in composition at the University of California, San Diego. She writes a blog called Miss Music Nerd (missmusicnerd.com), billed as "not your Mama's music appreciation." Earlier this year, she was tapped as the Community Blogger for Classical Music for the 52nd GRAMMY® Awards. She currently serves as Minister of Music at St. John's Episcopal Church, Jamaica Plain.
Peter Terry is Artistic Director of JP Concerts and Program Coordinator of the Boston Learning Center (www.bostonlearningcenter.org). Peter was born in Indiana and has lived in 9 states, on the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans, in France and Israel. His performing career, as a vocal soloist, has taken him across the USA, to Austria, England, France, Germany, Iceland, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, to the Island of Cyprus, to 6 cities in India and from the Negev to the Golan in Israel.
