JP Concerts presents Daniel Jepson, classical pianist, playing Felix Mendelssohn: Prelude and Fugue in E minor, Op. 35 No. 1; J.S. Bach: Prelude and Fugue in C-sharp Major, Well-Tempered Clavier Book I and Prelude and Fugue in C-sharp Minor, Well-Tempered Clavier Book I; Dmitri Shostakovich: Prelude and Fugue in D-flat Major, Op. 87 No. 15 and Prelude and Fugue in D minor, Op. 87 No. 24; and concluding with Robert Schumann: Carnaval, Op. 9. Jepson began studying piano at the age of four, in the UK. As a teenager, he frequently participated in the Woking and Kingston Music Festivals. After receiving a BA in Applied Mathematics from Harvard, he earned both a Master of Music and a Graduate Performance Degree in piano performance at Boston Conservatory, where he studied with Max Levinson. He was the recipient of the school's Community Service Award in 2009. In June 2009, Jepson was a participant at the International Russian Music Competition in San Jose. He has played in master classes with Benjamin Pasternak, Leslie Howard, Andre Laplante, and Anton Kuerti, among others. JP Concerts tickets are $10 general admission at the door.
