Ken Brooks
Organizer, JP Concerts Series
Ken Brooks, Director of Music at St. John's Jamaica Plain, helped develop the JP Concert Series from an idea to a full-fledged program. He generously lends his artistic insight, coordinates with the performers, assists with publicity, and ensures that the programs for the JP Concerts Series will be of the highest caliber. He works with great diligence and enthusiasm to create a welcoming and accessible atmosphere for the concerts. Originally from Bolivar, Tennessee, Ken grew up Southern Baptist, and the gospel music of his youth is in his soul and adds color and life to the musical offerings at St. John's.
Peter Terry
Artistic Director, JP Concerts Series
Peter Terry, freelance singer and writer, and JP resident, has worked closely with Ken Brooks to develop the JP Concert Series from an idea to a full-fledged program. He recruits, selects and schedules the performers, handles pre-concert marketing with the press and media, and seeks to constantly improve the quality of the experience for performers and audience alike. Peter was born in Indiana and has lived on both coasts, in France and Israel. His performing career, as a vocal soloist, has taken him to England and Iceland, India and Israel, as well as across the USA. He has organized arts programs for several conferences, but this is his first experience managing a series. He eagerly welcomes any help you may care to offer.
